It's less than a month until the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Annual Global Conference. This is a great opportunity to meet companies from across the Chamber Network but also hear from a number of key speakers. Confirmed so far are Keir Starmer MP, Leader of the Opposition, Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, Baroness Martha Lane Fox CBE, BCC President and a Senior Treasury Minister. Columnist and broadcaster, Ayseha Hazarika MBE is the host for the event.

Global Trade Month: China - In conversation with Tom Duke
Wednesday 26 April, 9.00am Online The second event in the series for our Global Trade Month: China, is an ‘In Conversation’ with Tom Duke. Tom Duke was appointed Minister Counsellor for the Department for International Trade (DIT) in March 2019 and Deputy HM Trade Commissioner to China in 2020. As a member of the senior leadership team of DIT China and Hong Kong, Tom is responsible for trade and investment promotion, trade policy and market access across a range of industry sectors. This session will be a strategic discussion about current/future trade relations with Tom, an expert in the market, and will provide insight and advice as to best practice. Register here. |

Keir Starmer MP announced for Global Annual Conference
We are delighted that the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP will be a keynote speaker at our Global Annual Conference 2023.
Elected as leader of The Labour Party in 2020, we are looking forward to hearing him address business leaders from the UK and across the globe.

The latest trade data for February 2023 was released by the Office for National Statistics last week. It shows overall falls in exports and imports for February and a broader picture of flatlining performance. Read the British Chambers of Commerce press release on the new trade data here.
