Arab-British Economic Summit 2023
EARLY BIRD TICKETS AVAILABLE

ABES2023 will connect influential business leaders with thought leaders from across the British and Arab worlds. ABES2023 is a unique opportunity to meet and network with inspiring business professionals.

The day-long event will be held at the Hilton London Metropole on Monday 20 November and reflects the keenness of both sides to develop and strengthen the UK-Arab strategic partnership, central to the emerging vision mentioned in the Summit’s title.

In September the Chamber are running a half day workshop targeted at individuals and teams employed by logistics/forwarding companies and global and local manufacturers who need to understand how to obtain and maintain AEO certification.

The ONS trade data for June 2023 was released last Friday, completing the UK’s trade performance for the first half of the year. Read the BCC analysis on the data.

There are fewer than 50 days to go until the reporting requirements in the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism Regulation come on stream. The EU’s final implementing regulation was made last week. Make sure you are aware of what you will be asked for from Sunday 1 October when sending certain goods to the EU.

Last week, the BCC was briefed on progress with the UK trade negotiations with India and note that there is some way to go in the negotiations.
