• Brexit information updates regarding the changes taking place from 1 January 2021 and the steps that need to be taken now to ensure we are fully prepared
• On a weekly basis to provide a regular round up of “Member News”.

CHAMBER EVENTSChampioning Business Events
Taking place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, these events offer an opportunity to exchange views, experience and expertise.
The changes over the last few month have had an impact on the way we now communicate. How has your company been affected?
On Thursday 13 August, from 4.00-5.00pm, Oliver Forder, Co-Founder and CEO of 360Freedom Ltd, will provide a general overview and give the opportunity for you to be part of the conversation and share your experiences.
On Thursday 27 August our event changes on this occasion to 3.00-4.00pm as we welcome the Minister for Employment, Mims Davies. With the current employment and skills challenges stemming from the pandemic, leaving the EU and changing needs from a labour force, this will be a great opportunity to exchange views and ideas on how to address these. The Minister will provide updates on government employment support initiatives, including Kickstart.

These events take place from 10.00-11.00am on the first and third Thursday of the month.
Our forthcoming interactive session, on Thursday 6 August, touches on pivoting your people.Ruth Gawthorpe, Chief Executive of the Smart Working Revolution, shares case studies and stories about how her clients have pivoted their business and are now pivoting their workforce too! Melanie Coeshott, from Blue Diamond, has recently conducted a number of interviews with leaders as part of her Post Lockdown Leadership Review. She shares key findings in terms of further changes anticipated in working practices, how to lead others through the changes and important skills to help us through this period.

In addition to our Brexit information updates, we will be holding Export Club via Zoom on the last Tuesday of the month from 4.00-5.00pm. This week over 50 people logged-in to hear Chris Willers, from Access to Export, talk through a checklist of key things you need to have actioned ahead of 1 January 2021.
Our next event, on Tuesday 25 August, will explain the grant funding available to cover our programme of training courses and provide more reminders of what you should be doing in preparation for trading overseas from January 2021.Online booking for this event will be open next week.
