RETRAINING SCHEME, APPRENTICESHIP FUNDING CONSULTATION, IMMIGRATION SUPPORT & TOOLKITS
regular update from John Bridge OBE DL
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) Retraining Scheme
CPCA would like to hear from employers who need employees training in the fields of engineering, healthcare, ICT, construction, life sciences and logistics. These employers would be part of the pilot programme or may simply be interested in taking on some of the newly retrained employees to meet a skills gap.
The scheme is similar to an apprenticeship or graduate programme but applies to adults who have transferred from other industries due to redundancy. Employer partners will pledge an agreed number of new roles for jobseekers to join the retraining scheme. Education partners deliver training based on the skills needs identified by employers, with funding for training provided by the scheme.
Details of how to get involved can be found here.
