Supporting local business at this challenging time is the way we should all be responding to that question, through our business or as individuals.
The reason Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce launched the Local Business Champion programme was to strongly convey that message and facilitate individual and collective growth, and forge cohesive working partnerships and engagement within our local areas.
We were delighted when Stagecoach very kindly offered three months advertising on one of their buses to promote that key message in support of our Championing Business programme and are now proud to announce the arrival of the Local Business Champion branded Stagecoach bus.
John Bridge OBE DL, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “We were delighted to accept the offer of three months advertising from Stagecoach to promote Local Business Champions.
“The initiative is all about local businesses working together to promote and drive our economy forward, and the support from Stagecoach has been amazing in helping to get our message to businesses and individuals across the county.”
Michelle Hargreaves, Managing Director for Stagecoach East, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce Championing Business initiative. Helping promote business growth and partnerships at a local level is essential. Championing Business fits with our work to connect communities and support the local economy. It’s great to be working alongside the Chamber and business community and supporting this vital programme.”
The photo shoot with John Bridge and Michelle Hargreaves took place at Slepe Hall Hotel in St Ives, one of our Local Business Champions. Slepe Hall is a luxurious independent hotel owned by Emilie and Shammi Malik, set in the quaint historic market town of St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The hotel, on Ramsey Road in St Ives, is on the guided bus route through the town.
Please support by encouraging at least one more individual or business to join up
All valued members of the Chamber have been very supportive of our Championing initiative and become either a Local Business Champion or a Global Trade Champion or indeed both.
Recent times have shown the need for businesses to come together and build a different and more inclusive future for themselves, for the benefit of all. And this is something that needs to be encouraged.
As we continue to navigate unprecedented times, let’s stay informed, be inclusive and access the right information at the right time.
Being a Local Business Champion and / or a Global Trade Champion allows us to build proficiency and level-up our business community. Additionally, our Championing Business events will allow companies to come together and share experiences and expertise so that we can all work together to promote and drive the local economy forward.
Everyone’s support in encouraging at least one more individual or business to join up would be most welcome through the following link:
