Trade Update

The UK and Ukraine have announced negotiations on a new digital trade agreement between the two countries - this would supplement the existing trade agreement and the temporary zero-duty arrangements in place.

The new Developing Countries Trading Scheme was launched last week by the UK Government - this covers import tariffs, rules of origin and terms with a range of developing world trading partners including India and Bangladesh. The scheme has been altered from its predecessor so it is worth engaging with importers on potential new trading terms.

UK trade negotiations with the Gulf Co-operation Council began last week. They are expected to yield new export opportunities in environmental technologies and services, broader services areas, as well as improvements on tariffs and market access for goods.
