Sustainable Tech 4 Good 💻 🌍 Last week Connor Butler facilitated the handover of some of our surplus IT equipment to SustainableTech4Good who address digital inclusion through the re-use of surplus tech. They will collect all legacy tech which is donated after refurb &, secure data erase, providing sustainability certificates and digital inclusion reports showing who has benefited. All higher-end tech they will purchase which when sold on every tenth device they donate to partner charities. Through their solutions over 1200 devices have been donated to 33 charities in Cambridgeshire to date. If you have surplus tech from devices through to networking and server, please consider donating it to support this great cause. It is a really quick and simple process and they will even come and collect it. Read more about this great initiative here – https://lnkd.in/eXRvgqFx #cambschamber #chambernetwork

🖥🤖👥 Cyber security… it's usually pretty difficult to get staff interested in learning about it… Yesterday afternoon we welcomed ERSOU Cyber Protect and Cyber Choices Network to our office, they put the Chamber team through their paces in two cyber security activities. We started the session split into two teams to escape a ‘cyber escape room’ and help stop the fabricated story escalating. This was followed by a 'Decisions and Disruptions' challenge where in the same teams, we owned a company and had to spend our budget in the best way to protect our company from cyber and physical threats – with the risk of going bust and of course being attacked, closing down the business. Not forgetting this was all in the form of lego! If you like the sound of this, we’re delighted to be welcoming them to Ely Networking on 24 June to run the escape room session with our guests, places are limited, you can register here > https://lnkd.in/dVUf-Ktx We would definitely recommend your business taking up the offer of them coming to see you and running these sessions with your team, as you can imagine, it gets rather competitive so a great team building exercise as well as some important cyber security knowledge to take away! (And it’s FREE) Thank you John Greenwood and Nigel Sutton The Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre #cybersecurity #chambernetwork #cambschamber
