  • 🐟 It's Ely Eel Day! 🐟 To celebrate the occasion, our Chamber team, Connor Butler and Shauna Kelly went to sunny Ely for the annual Eel Throwing Competition - a fun tradition that’s become a much-loved part of the Ely Eel festival. We had a great time watching local businesses take part in the spirit of friendly competition. The festival pays homage to Ely’s fascinating history - for centuries, the city was known for exporting eels across the country. We were thrilled to win the competition last year with Jack Wilson’s impressive 12.7m throw - and we’re very proud to say we’ve done it again this year! Congratulations to Connor for securing the win with a mighty 12.2m throw! We look forward to next year. A big thank you to Visit Ely for organising this entertaining event - we hope everyone has a fantastic time at the Eel Festival this weekend. See you next year as we aim to extend our winning streak. Third time lucky? The Chamber team will be back in Ely this month for some net-walking - we hope to see you there ☺️ 🔗 https://shorturl.at/5KwlP #ElyEelDay #VisitEly #ChamberLife #EelThrowing

  • 📢 Patron post What you should look for in an IT support provider 💡 When considering a change in IT support providers, it’s critical to evaluate potential firms carefully. Here are some key factors to consider from Cambridge Support. 1️⃣ Comprehensive Service Offerings Look for a provider that offers a wide range of services, including network management and security, cloud solutions, cyber security, data backup, disaster recovery and IT consulting and strategy. 2️⃣ Proven Track Record Research the provider’s reputation and experience. Check client testimonials and case studies, plus verify their qualifications. Also ask which partnerships they have with leading tech vendors. These all paint a certain picture of their competence. 3️⃣ Clear Communication and Reporting Ensure the provider values clarity and regular communication. Ask about their reporting processes and inquire about the occurrence of performance reviews. Additionally, evaluate their ability to explain technical concepts clearly. The usage of complex technical terms that they know you won’t understand may be a red flag. 4️⃣ Scalability and Flexibility Choose a provider that can grow with your business. Assess their ability to handle increased workloads and inquire about their experience with businesses of various sizes. Also determine if they offer flexible service plans to accommodate your potential needs. 5️⃣ Security Focus With cyber threats constantly evolving, your IT support provider must prioritise security, offering services like data protection, backup solutions, and proactive monitoring. Who is Cambridge Support? Cambridge Support is an IT support provider in the Cambridgeshire region. It’s founders, Philip Mashinchi & Alexander Foster believe in fostering a personal approach with their clients. This is to ensure their service maintains a high level of customer satisfaction and builds long-lasting relationships.
