July 6, 2021

Steven Sprague has been appointed as the new President of The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy. He was previously a Counsellor of the Chamber and is currently Chairman of its Brexit Committee.

Steven, who is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, an avvocato of the Milan Bar and a Consultant to Buckles Solicitors LLP, has extensive experience in international investment, corporate and business relations across a range of sectors, including retail, manufacturing, energy, natural resources and infrastructure.

During his term as President of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy, he will focus on four main issues: the post-Brexit landscape, sustainability and green transition, diversity and inclusion policies and innovation.

Steven said: “My mandate is in line with the work carried out by the outgoing President, Tom Noad, whom we would like to thank for his work. The context in which we will be operating in the coming months will be characterised by the effects of Brexit in Europe and Italy, and we will pay increasing attention to the world of trade.”

The Chamber’s mission is to assist and encourage the development of trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Italy, and to support and promote the interests and the commercial activities of its members.
